"Adopt A Troop Trees Going Up This Week" 10-12-10

Stop in at any of the locations listed below and "Adopt A Troop" Trees are decorated with ornaments for you to sign with a special message to a troop. Cost is $20.00 per ornament which pays for a Christmas Stocking, Contents and Postage. We have a group of Marines stationed in Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan waiting to hear from us - Let's once again, show these fine young men and women the support they have come to expect from Central Pennsylvania Supports The Troops.

Christmas 2010 - Get Ready!

We are trying to send Christmas Stockings to another 5,700 Marines stationed in Afghanistan (this group replaced the group that we supported last Christmas) and as usual, we will be sending Christmas Stockings to our local soldiers. What do we need?

Individuals to make the Christmas Stockngs - Fabric Will Be Provided

Local Businesses to Display Our "Adopt A Troop" Christmas Trees. Individuals donate $20.00 (which covers the cost of making/purchasing the stocking, the contents and postage), sign an ornament (these too are provided) with a personal message to a soldier and these trees, along with the ornaments will be shipped to the soldiers along with the Christmas Stockings.

Individuals to sign Christmas Cards (Cards will be provided)

Individuals to help Stuff and Pack Stockings the week prior to Thanksgiving at Maribelle's on Cumberland Street, Lebanon. We start unloading the trucks at 6:30 A.M. and packing at 9:00 A.M. Lunch will br provided to the workers. We sincerely thank Maribelle's for allowing us to use their facility to sort and pack.

THANK YOU to Coventry Health Care and all of the employees who recently held their Underwriters Conference at the Hershey Hotel and chose Central Pennsylvania Supports The Troops as the group that they supported this year. What a wonderful group of individuals. They collected hundreds of pounds of items to send to the troops this Christmas and gave monetary contributions to help with postage. These individuals mailed or traveled with their gifts from all over the United States. God Bless all of them for their support!

Thank you to Staff Sergeant Holland and Lance Corporal Smith, USMC, who volunteered to speak at the Hershey Hotel to Coventry Health Care. What an asset these two Marines are to the Marine Corps.
